Hello Jaguar Family! My name is Angelica Nobles and this is my seventh year teaching the cutest little learners at NTxCA! I am so excited to move to second grade this year and see so many familiar faces. I have coached our amazing pep squad for the last six years. I am from Houston, Texas and moved to North Texas for college. I attended Texas Woman's University and graduated in 2016 with a degree in sociology. I am certified in Special Education and Early Childhood and English as a Second Language. I earned my Master's Degree from Oklahoma Christian University in Curriculum and Instruction in the spring. I am proud to have received a Master Teacher Designation from the state of Texas in 2023. I live in North Fort Worth with my amazing husband and our 6 year old son Austin. We share custody of my 13 year old bonus daughter Asia. My hobbies include trying new food with my husband, reading my kindle, and dancing. Teaching is my calling and I'm so excited for this year.

TEKS RS Unit 08: Time (7 Days)

Unit 8: We will practice telling time! This means we'll learn how to read and write time to the nearest minute using analog and digital clocks, understand how time is measured, and distinguish between a.m. and p.m.

Unit 9: We will practice measuring length! This means we'll learn how to use different tools to measure objects, understand how the size of a unit affects the number of units needed, and represent distances on a number line.

Unit 7B: We will practice finding information through research! This means we'll learn how to ask questions, find reliable sources, gather important details, and share our findings through writing and presentations.

Unit 8: We will practice reading and writing poetry! This means we'll learn how poets use structure, rhythm, and language to express feelings and ideas, explore different types of poems, and create our own poetry.

Unit 8: We will practice learning about how organisms survive! This means we'll explore how plants and animals use their structures and behaviors to meet their needs, compare how different organisms live in their environments, and investigate how animals work together to survive.

Unit 7: We will practice learning about organisms and their environments! This means we'll discover how plants and animals depend on each other, create food chains to show how energy moves, and explore how plants use animals and nature to spread their seeds.
