Hello Jaguar Family! My name is Angelica Nobles and this is my seventh year teaching the cutest little learners at NTxCA! I am so excited to move to second grade this year and see so many familiar faces. I have coached our amazing pep squad for the last six years. I am from Houston, Texas and moved to North Texas for college. I attended Texas Woman's University and graduated in 2016 with a degree in sociology. I am certified in Special Education and Early Childhood and English as a Second Language. I earned my Master's Degree from Oklahoma Christian University in Curriculum and Instruction in the spring. I am proud to have received a Master Teacher Designation from the state of Texas in 2023. I live in North Fort Worth with my amazing husband and our 6 year old son Austin. We share custody of my 13 year old bonus daughter Asia. My hobbies include trying new food with my husband, reading my kindle, and dancing. Teaching is my calling and I'm so excited for this year.

Unit 6: We will practice adding and subtracting numbers! This means we'll learn how to use different methods to solve math problems, remember important math facts, and use the standard way to add and subtract.
Unit 7: We will learn how to organize and show data using bar graphs and pictographs. We'll use these graphs to find out information, make predictions, and create addition and subtraction problems based on what we see in the graphs!
4th Six Weeks
Unit 06A: Examining Characteristics of Fiction, Including Drama (15 Days)
Unit 06B: Examining Characteristics of Traditional Literature (10 Days)
Unit 6a: We will explore different types of stories, especially fictional ones like plays. We'll learn about what makes these stories special, such as their characters, where they take place, the main idea, and what happens in the story. Authors use these parts to create exciting tales!
Unit 6b: We will look at and write our own fictional stories, focusing on traditional tales like folktales, fables, and fairy tales. These stories come from different cultures and were often shared by word of mouth for many years. We'll explore important parts of these stories, like the main idea, what happens, where the story is set, and the characters!
4th Six Weeks
Unit 04: Interacting with the Environment (20 Days)
Unit 4: We will explore geography and how people connect with the environment around them. Communities can be defined by where they are located and the people who live there. We'll practice using maps and globes to help us understand the world better and create our own mental maps. It's also important to learn how geography affects people's lives and how our actions can change the environment!
4th Six Weeks
Unit 05: Investigating Weather and Earth’s Changes (15 days)
Unit 06: Investigating Resources (15 days)
Unit 5: We will explore different weather types and how they affect the world around us! We'll start by measuring and keeping track of the daily weather, like temperature and rain. Then, we'll learn about severe weather events, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods, and find out where they happen. Finally, we'll see how wind and water move things like soil and rocks on Earth, like how wind forms sand dunes at the beach and how rivers carry rocks as they flow!
Unit 6: We will learn about the Earth's natural resources and how we can take care of them! We'll talk about what resources come from nature and which ones are made by people. Then, we'll discuss ways to help protect our resources by using less and throwing things away the right way.
I am able to respond to calls, emails, etc. during my conference period from 10:15-11:00a.
