I am excited for the 2024-2025 school year! I am beginning my 8th year teaching and returning to NTxCA - North for the second time. Its a place like nowhere else. Teaching 4th grade this year is sure to be the best year yet!

I graduated from UNT with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. From there I worked in the trucking industry before finally finding my passion for teaching.

Outside of teaching I love to spend time with my family and friends.

What We Are Learning:

5th 6 weeks:

Reading: Comparing Genres, students will work to compare features and styles of writing. Students will determine why the author wrote the piece and what its meaning is.

Writing: Students will focus on using RACES strategy to answer questions about what they are reading as well as to construct a well written argument.

Math: Students will work on angles and measurement using a protractor. Students will then spiral and review all major concepts from the year.

Science: Students are focused on seasons, impact that the Sun has on the Earth and phases of the Moon.

Social Studies: Reconstruction and the Texas Economy
