I am excited for the 2024-2025 school year! I am beginning my 8th year teaching and returning to NTxCA - North for the second time. Its a place like nowhere else. Teaching 4th grade this year is sure to be the best year yet!

I graduated from UNT with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. From there I worked in the trucking industry before finally finding my passion for teaching.

Outside of teaching I love to spend time with my family and friends.

What We Are Learning:

6th 6 weeks:

Reading: Students will be working hard to understand author's purpose, inferencing and point of view. Once we get past the STAAR, students will begin doing book studies and reporting on what they are reading.

Writing: Students will focus on using RACES strategy to answer questions about what they are reading as well as to construct a well written argument. Towards the end of the 6 weeks, students will construct a biography.

Math: Students will work on tying together everything they have learned this year and applying to real world scenarios.

Science: Students are focused on ecosystems.

Social Studies: Building the new Texas Frontier
