Due to possible inclement weather, the South Campus Fall Festival is moving to November 8 at 6:00-7:30 pm. We are sorry for the change, but we want to ensure a safe and fun evening for our families to get together and enjoy the Fall festivities.

Good evening, Lion families.
We have a busy week ahead. We do have testing this week, so please ensure your children are at school and on time, so they do not have to make up testing after returning. Since the campus will be closed during testing on Tuesday and Wednesday, please call the main office if you have an emergency or need to get your child for an early dismissal before lunch time, so we do not disturb our testers.
Here is a schedule of events for this week and the near future:
*10/29/24 Math Common Assessment - the campus will be closed for testing until after lunch time
*10/30/24 ELA Common Assessment - closed campus until after lunch
*10/31/24 Science Common Assessment (5th & 8th grades only)
*10/31/24 Storybook Character Day - students may dress up as a storybook character if they bring the book (no face paint or masks, nothing scary, no weapons, no blood)
*11/1/24 Social Studies Common Assessment (8th grade only)
*11/1/24 End of 2nd 6 weeks (report cards go home Monday 11/4)
*11/1/24 Casual for a Cause (students out of dress code for $3)
*11/1/24 Early Dismissal @ 1:00 pm
*11/1/24 Fall Festival 6:00-7:30 (Please send small, wrapped candy to the main office this week)
*11/1/24 Begin New Community Service Project (collecting full-size toothpaste and toothbrushes) 100 items of each is our campus goal
*11/6/24 Food Pantry 2-4 pm
Please join us on Friday, November 1st from 6:00 - 7:30 for our Fall Festival. We will have fun games, food, and candy. Also, thank you to all of the parents and family members that came out for our 2nd Annual Interskate Skate Party! It was so much fun getting to skate with everyone and to see the awesome costumes. Here are a few announcements for this week:
*A reminder about our Storybook Character Day, which is Thursday, October 31st. All students may dress up like your favorite book character. Please, no face paint or masks, no hand-held props or weapons, no lights or noise makers, no inflatable blow up costumes, no gore, and no inappropriate images or words. STUDENTS MUST BRING THE STORYBOOK WITH THE CHARACTER IN IT if they are dressing up.
*Thank you to our Lion families for all of the cases of water you donated these past few weeks!! This water will be donated to our community partners, Hearts 4 Homes.Thank you so very much!
*We have partnered with Upbeat, a company that has created a Family Climate Survey specific to our campus. We would like to have 100% of our families take the survey. I have included the survey link in an email, on Facebook, and on our campus website. Please complete the survey TODAY, and let’s try to have our South Campus survey completed by Friday, October 25th at 5:00! *Please join us for the PAWS Interskate Skate Party, Friday, October 25, from 6:00-8:00 pm. There will be a costume party for all students who come in school-appropriate costumes.
*Mark your calendar now for our Fall Festival which is at 6:00 until 7:30 on November 1st. Each classroom will be requesting parents who can support us with pre-wrapped candy donations!
*November 1st is also an early release day and students will be dismissed at 1:00. There is NO after school programming.
