These are your announcements for the week of November 13 - 17, 2023 ! *Our Character Trait for this week is THANKFULNESS *Students will be in school Monday through Friday this week. There is no early release days this week, and yes, we will be having after-school programming. Prevent a disciplinary write-up and pick up your student on time! *Join Ms. Wims and Ms. Hightower this Thursday, November 16th for "Pies with Parents!" We want to continue building relationships with parents so we are inviting you for a slice of pie and coffee and time to mingle with your teacher(s). Meet your student's teacher for 8 to 10 minutes in the Jaguar Cafe on Thursday from 8:00 until 9:00 a.m. *Our Fall Holiday Break is November 20 through November 24, please enjoy time with your family and friends. Students will return to school on Monday, November 27th *SAVE THE DATE !! Mark your calendars today for our Annual Multicultural Fair! If you are a parent or family that would love to showcase your family's history and/or culture, please reach out to Ms. Carey Thomson at carey.thomson@ntxca.org for additional information. I promise you, this is an event YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS! Save the Date on December 7th at 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm for a "Hike Around the World." Good Sunday afternoon Jaguars, this is your Principal, Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements; *The CHARACTER TRAIT this week is EMPATHY *Tuesday, October 31st is Halloween and this is just a gentle reminder that we do not wear costumes to school *Our 3rd thru 8th grade students will be participating in our 6-Weeks exams Tuesday thru Friday, which means our 2nd Six Weeks ends on Friday, November 3rd. Please make sure your student has corrected, re-assessed, and made up tests and other assignments by 1:00 Friday. Report Cards will be sent home on Monday, November 6th *There is NO PEP SQUAD practice this week *Friday is an early release day for our students! Let’s celebrate with a dance party lead by our Pep Squad at 7:15! I hope to see ALL STUDENTS on time for this dance party! We will dance at 7:15 until 7:30. Please be early! You don’t want to miss this!!!!! You can also catch us LIVE on Facebook! *There will be NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING this Friday. Please pick up your student on time at 1:00 this Friday! *Mark your calendars NOW for our next Fund-Raising event. ONLY students in grades 2nd thru 4th are invited to the campus to watch the movie. Permission slips have been provided to those students. No student may remain after school for movie night. Movie night drop-off and pick-up times have been provided to those parents. *Progress Reports will go home Monday so please check your students' yellow folder or the backpack for the Progress Reports *Thank you to those parents who are arriving on time for school each day! Students are tardy at 8:01 and parents must come inside to sign their students in for class! So let's not be late and remember breakfast is served from 7:30 until 7:55! Here are your announcements for the week; *Our Character Trait this week is: COMMITMENT *If your family is in need of groceries, stop by the campus between the hours of 2pm - 4pm. Remember to bring your photo ID! *Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage tomorrow evening from 5:30 - 6:30 in the Jaguar Den *Let's Talk ! Join me for an evening of "Parent & Principal Talk" this Wednesday evening at 5:00 until 6:00 in the Jaguar Den. It is my goal to have the "Parent & Principal Talk" three times this school year. The goal of our "Parent & Principal Talk" is to continue to build relationships with parents while increasing positive culture among families, students, and staff. Let’s Talk Parents will be a forum to keep parents involved and informed of campus accountability, goals, suggestions, needs, wishes, and wants. I would also like to continue to promote a closer connection between school, home, and community by strategically involving parents, students, and teachers in school programs, events, and activities to increase school culture and climate with POSITIVE school pride.
