Good Sunday evening Jaguars, these are your announcements for this FINAL FULL week in our 23/24 School Year. Our last day of school is Thursday, May 23rd and dismissal is at 1:00. There is NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMMING on the last day of school. *The CHARACTER TRAIT for this week is LOYALTY *Tuesday is Grocery Day!  If you are IN NEED of groceries, please visit the school between the hours of 2:00 and 3:45 for groceries.  Please be prepared to show your valid ID *Our PK / Kinder “Signing Day” is Tuesday, May 14th at 2:30 until 3:15!  I hope all of our incoming PK and KINDER students will attend this fun day of excitement, where we will have our PK/Kinder students signing their commitment to the 24 / 25 school year *It’s our Jaguar Game Night with Supper!  Join us at 6:00p until 7:30p for our “BBQ and Bingo Night” with our Middle School Team!  BBQ Suppers are $8/each ! Good afternoon Jaguar families, this is Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements *Our CHARACTER TRAIT for this week is TRUSTWORTHINESS *A HUGE thank you to all of our students, parents, and teachers, who came out for our kickball game last Friday. We had an AWESOME time! *May is a celebration of Asian Heritage Month. Be on the lookout for additional information about the ways we will celebrate our Asian Heritage and culture. *The Jaguar Cubs will be going on their field trip this Friday *Remember all of the activities and sales our Jaguars are doing to help support our non-profit Community Service Projects. Our students are demonstrating ways to give back to our community *Jaguar soccer practice is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week. Our district soccer tournament is Saturday, May 11th at 8:30 a.m. at Vela Sports Complex, 3801 N. Elm Street, in Denton. I hope to see all of our Jaguar families there to support our students! *Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our AMAZING Jaguar Teachers and Educators! Good Sunday afternoon Jaguars, this is Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements *Our CHARACTER TRAIT for this week is UNDERSTANDING *Our 3rd thru 8th grade students will be participating in Math State Assessment Tuesday, May 30th. For safety and security reasons, our campus doors will be locked by 8:30 and will remain locked until all students have completed assessments. *One of the pillars of our district excellence is we pride ourselves in our “Annual Community Service Projects.” All students, teachers, and parents will begin our Community Service Projects on May 1st! *Soccer Practice is TUESDAY ONLY this week. Mark your calendars for our district soccer tournament on May 11th! *It’s “Friday Night Lights Kickball!” We are calling ALL PARENTS and ALL TEACHERS for a challenging game of kickball on May 3rd from 5:00 until 6:30!!! If you are interested in playing kickball, please call Ms. Rosell to get your name on our parent list. Teachers have bragging rights from last year! Parents it’s GAME ON!!! Let’s Gooooooooooo ! *Friday, May 3rd is SCHOOL LUNCH HERO Day! Please send a SHOUT OUT to Mr. Allen, our Jaguar Chef, to thank him for all of his cooking skills! Mr. Allen has more than 20+ years as a cook in our district and we would like to celebrate him in a major way for providing our breakfast and lunches for our Jaguars!!! *Finally, please remember parents that if your student’s after school transportation mode changes, please make sure you call Ms. Rossell to make the change by 2:30 each day. This will allow teachers to make the change without you having to park and wait in line for your student. These are your brief announcements for this week; *Our CHARACTER TRAIT for this week is HUMILITY *If you are a family in need of groceries, our Grocery Day is Tuesday, April 23rd from 2:00 – 4:00. *Soccer practice is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week from 4 until 5. *Pep Squad practice is Wednesday, April 24th from 3:45 – 4:30 *Friday, April 26th is a school holiday and there is NO SCHOOL this Friday! Good afternoon Jaguars, YES, WE HAVE WATER!!!!!! The City of Denton have left our campus about an hour ago and we now have water!!! Thank you so much for your patience and understanding with a circumstance that was totally beyond our control! Goooo Jaguars !!!!!!

Dear Jaguar Families, Our North Campus has been without water for most of the morning due to a construction issue in our area. Denton Municipal hoped to have the issue fixed by now but since we are unsure how much longer the repairs may take, we are allowing parents to pick up their children if they so choose. We will remain on-campus for the rest of the school day so if you can't come pick up your children right away, don't worry. However we must cancel after-school programs for today because we simply have no guarantee that water service will be restored as promptly as we'd like. These are your announcements for this week; *The CHARACTER TRAIT for this week is: FORGIVENESS *Thank you to all of our Jaguar families who were able to attend our Spring Fling this past Saturday! I hope you had as much fun as our future Jaguars! *Tomorrow, April 8TH there is NO SCHOOL *Our Jaguar STEAM Camp registration opens tomorrow! There is a limited number of seats for our camp! Registration is to be completed via paper application which will be provided at parent request only. Only students who are ENTERING into 1st through 8th may attend STEAM Camp June 3rd – June 14th. *We have ended our 5th Six Weeks of school. Report cards will go home Tuesday. *Our campus awards ceremony is Wednesday, April 10th your teacher should have already contacted you if your student is receiving an award. *URGENT and IMPORTANT REMINDER; we still have currently enrolled students who are NOT REGISTERED for next school year. If you are NOT PLANNING ON RETURNING next year, please provide the courtesy to send an email to your teacher or contact Ms. Rosell to let her know. North Texas Collegiate Academy is seeking bids to install new playground equipment at our East Campus at 1851 Oak Grove Parkway in Little Elm. Pictures posted show the equipment to be installed. Installation must occur April 29-May 17 and access to the campus after-hours and on weekends will be available. To learn more about this project or to submit your bid, email our Maintenance Coordinator, Mr. Rich Keller, at rich.keller@ntxca.org. (No visits to the campus to look at the site will be honored without an appointment, as school is in-session and safety is our priority.)
