Good Sunday afternoon Jaguars! These are your announcements for the week of February 13th. *Our Character Trait this week is "SELF-DISCIPLINE" *Thank you to all of our parents who purchased the Valentine's Day squishies! Thanks to you, our students were able to collect more than $300 for our middle school dance! *TOMORROW....Bring $1 and make your donation towards a zero sugar flavor packet and bottle of water! Feel free to help by purchasing flavor packets and/or bottles of water. Help us continue to support our campus and the vision for our middle school dance! *Tuesday is Valentine's Day! If you haven't already, reach out to your teacher to determine your class party schedule and parent engagement. Remember, all parties will be held at 2:30 until 3:30. *Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 16th and meet me at the Denton County Spelling Bee! Two of our Jaguar students will be competing in the county spelling bee in Lewisville. The event will be held at the Lewisville ISD Administrative Center, located at 1565 W. Main Street. Meet us there at 6:00 pm! *Our 3rd thru 8th grade students will be completing their six weeks exams this week. For test and campus security reasons, our campus will be closed to visitors each morning from 8:15 until 11:00 so it is very important that all students arrive at school on time each morning. Please be respectful of our student testing times and arrive on time. As always, daily attendance is not only the law, it's mandatory! *There is no school this Friday, February 17th. Our teachers will be involved in professional development and training. There is also no school on Monday, February 20th in observance of President's Day. *Save the date!! March 9th is our Pre-Enrollment event! "What's the Scoop at NTxCA?" Invite your family, friends, and neighbors to our campus to get your student enrolled for the next school year and find out what the scoop is and why we are MORE THAN A SCHOOL! Gooooooo Jaguars !!!!!

*By now, all parents should be connected to Apptegy! Apptegy is our teacher to parent communication tool. If you are not connected to your classroom, please email your teacher for additional information. We need 100% of our parents connected to school!
*Student Progress Notes will go home tomorrow (Monday)
*Our teachers will continue after school tutoring for our 3rd thru 8th grade students. Students will need to schedule the dates with their teachers.
*Our students will be completing their 6 Weeks Exams during the week of February 13 thru Feb 16. Attendance remains necessary for academic success, but daily attendance is the law. Please make sure your student is on time each day school is in session.
*February 14th is Valentine's Day and all class parties will be from 2:30 - 3:30. You will receive additional information from your teachers regarding the class party.
*Please mark your calendars for February 17th and February 20th. There will be NO SCHOOL and NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRM on Friday, February 17th or Monday, February 20th.
*Reminding parents about our After-School Program disciplinary processes. Should any student receive 2 (two) disciplinary write ups from any teacher, the student will be dismissed from the program.
*We are preparing for our Black History Living Museum. Please save the date for February 23rd from 5:00 pm until 6:00.

Despite our previously announced reopening and excitement about seeing everyone, we will be closed tomorrow. With the predicted overnight freezing alerts, we feel it's in the best interest and safety of our students, families, and teachers that we not have class. Stay safe and warm and we'll see you Monday morning!
CLOSURE NOTICE - No School Friday February 3rd
Good afternoon Jaguars! We're ready to welcome our students back to school tomorrow! To be as safe as possible, we will have a delayed start of 10:00. Parents may drop off your student at 9:30 for breakfast service.
Thank you to the many teachers, students and parents who stayed so engaged with our students over these last 3 days. This truly is a testament of how we build relationships in our Jaguar community.

Post your pictures to our FB page of your students completing their learning tasks! There will be no school tomorrow, Thursday, February 2nd.
