Remember to bring your photo ID! *Join us in celebrating Hispanic Heritage tomorrow evening from 5:30 - 6:30 in the Jaguar Den *Let's Talk ! Join me for an evening of "Parent & Principal Talk" this Wednesday evening at 5:00 until 6:00 in the Jaguar Den. It is my goal to have the "Parent & Principal Talk" three times this school year. The goal of our "Parent & Principal Talk" is to continue to build relationships with parents while increasing positive culture among families, students, and staff. Let’s Talk Parents will be a forum to keep parents involved and informed of campus accountability, goals, suggestions, needs, wishes, and wants. I would also like to continue to promote a closer connection between school, home, and community by strategically involving parents, students, and teachers in school programs, events, and activities to increase school culture and climate with POSITIVE school pride. Our students received the 3rd place trophy and we will be extremely PROUD to display it on our campus. Thank you Coach Essex, Coach Nobles, Coach Robinson, and Coach Hightower for a job well done! *Shot out and THANK YOU to our PAWS Parents for providing our players and pep squad with snacks and drinks. Good Sunday afternoon Jaguars, this is Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements for the week of September 25th, 2023! *Character Trait for this week is HELPFULNESS *Volleyball practice this week is Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 4:00 – 5:00. *Pep Squad practice is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, AND Thursday from 4:00 – 4:30 *If you are in need of groceries, please visit the campus with your ID on Tuesday, September 26th *Our PAWS Parent Meeting will be held in the Jaguar Den this Thursday at 5:00 until 5:30! (All in the name of FUN!) *Our Jaguars continue to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, which begins in the United States on Sept. 15, celebrates U.S. Latinos, their culture and their history. Started in 1968 by Congress as Hispanic Heritage Week, it was expanded to a month in 1988. The celebration begins in the middle of September to coincide with independence days in several Latin American countries: Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica celebrate theirs on Sept. 15, followed by Mexico on Sept. 16, Chile on Sept. 18 and Belize on Sept. 21. The Jaguar campus will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on October 10th at 5:30 until 6:30. I hope you will join us as we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month! Reminder! School dismisses at 1:00 p.m. this Friday! Busses will run their regular routes at 1pm. All other students must be picked up at 1pm; no After-School Programs available.

Friday is "Casual for a Cause!" Students and teachers who pay $3 on or before Friday, may wear school appropriate casual clothes! All funds collected will go towards our student activities fund!

Here are your announcements for this week (Sept 18th); *Character Trait GENEROSITY *Common Assessments for our 3rd thru 8th graders is Tuesday thru Friday *Attendance Matters ! Remember daily school attendance is the law! Make sure your student is ON TIME each day at school. The school day begins at 8:00 your student is tardy at 8:01. In an effort to NOT interrupt instructional time, please make every effort to have your student on time. Attendance and Truancy letters have been scheduled to go home this week. If you receive an attendance letter, you will be scheduled for a conference with the Principal. To avoid truancy or attendance consequences, please attend school DAILY. *We want to make sure all students have breakfast! Breakfast is from 7:25 until 7:55. Please make sure your student is on time for breakfast each morning. *Volleyball practice is on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 - 5. *Pep Squad practice is Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 - 4:30 *Reminder about the After School Program; students with two disciplinary write-ups (this includes late parent arrivals), will be dismissed from the program. After School Program hours are 3:30 until 6:00. All students MUST attend the after-school program until at least 4:30. Students picked up prior to 4:30 are subject to program dismissal. For additional information about our After after-school program please reach out to Ms. Dani Davis at dani.davis@ntxca.org or call the office at 940-383-1972. *Friday, September 22nd is the end of our 1st six weeks. Please make sure your student has reassessed, turned in missing assignments, and made assignment corrections prior to 1:00 Friday. *Friday, is an early release date. All students will be dismissed at 1:00 on Friday. *Report Cards will go home on Monday, September 25th. *Mark your calendar for SEPTEMBER 30TH! Good Sunday afternoon Jaguar parents, this is Ms. Jordan with your weekly announcements; *Thank you so much for attending our Grandparents Day celebration!  I hope each of you enjoyed the special time you were able to spend with your student! *Our CHARACTER TRAIT for this week is RESPONSIBILITY *Tuesday is Grocery Day !  If you have a need for groceries, you may come to the campus with your ID between the hours of 1 – 4 for groceries *Tuesday is also our first campus Spirit Night!  Meet us at Cane’s on University from 5 until 9 pm for dinner!  Please mention that you are purchasing for NORTH TEXAS COLLEGIATE ACADEMY and a part of the proceeds will be returned to our school! *Volleyball practice is Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 – 5.  Please be on time to pick up your student *Our Jaguar Pep Squad will have their first practice after school Tuesday, September 12th 4:00 until 4:30 *Mark your calendars TODAY and SAVE THE DATE for our district volleyball tournament.  Come support our Jaguars as they battle against the South Campus Lions and the East Campus Bulldogs!  We need you to help cheer our Jaguars to victory!  September 30th at 8:00 a.m. at the ML King Center in Denton! *Hispanic Heritage Month begins on Friday, September 15th!  Be on the lookout for our campus celebration for Hispanic Heritage Month activities. *A reminder message about school uniforms.  All students, every day MUST be in school uniforms.  Students in PK thru 4th grade MUST be in their blue polo uniform shirt and students in grades 5 thru 8th must be in their black polo uniform shirt.  Students should NOT be wearing white shirts! *ATTENDANCE MATTERS !!!  The next class that has 100% perfect student and teacher attendance at the end of day on Friday (September 15th) will get to see Ms. Jordan “kiss a pig named Bentley!”  Not only is attendance the LAW, but students cannot learn when they are NOT IN SCHOOL.  So let’s make sure ALL STUDENTS are at school EVERY DAY!
